Waving

I took a bus yesterday.


When my bus stopped at the signal, one small truck in the next lane also stopped.


There were 3 men inside, they saw in my direction then all started waving.


I looked back because I thought someone was behind me, but no one was there.


One guy pointed at me and waved to me again!!!


???Have I met them before???


I waved back to them (just in case?!) although I was not sure whether or not I knew them.   (~.~)#


It was only for 2 minutes.


Strange Experience!!!

Wine Tasting at Harrods

We were invited to the wine tasting at Harrods.

I like watching the people during such event or party.


One man was wearing very 'shabby' T-shirt & jeans and holding a supermarket plastic bag. He was not drinking wine at all. (at wine tasting!) Everyone looked at him with suspicious eyes and all the ladies held their handbags tight! After for a while the security took him somewhere!!! (Surprisingly?) he came back straight away, tidying the invitation card! Yes, he was the (properly?) invited guest.


In reality, even a billionaire without expected appropriate clothes/behaviour, cannot be treated better!


Appropriate clothes always show our respect, for example, to the party organizer, to the chef at the fancy restaurant, to the musicians at the concert, to the performers at the theatre etc etc... It is the way to show our appreciation!


Anyway, I enjoyed both white & red from this winemaker. Especially the white wine we tasted was superb!


We quite like Italian wine. We used to select the wine from Southern Italy before. Today's wine tasting made me think that we should try more wine from Northern Italy.


We will definitely go back to Harrods to buy some bottles of wine from this winemaker Luce!

Cleansing Oil

I am using waterproof cosmetics when I play tennis. Otherwise I will have a panda face!!! (We sometimes see such people at the cinema. They must have seen the sad movie!)


Waterproof foundation, mascara & eyeliner...


It is difficult to remove waterproof make-up using ordinary cleansing product. The best solution is the cleansing oil.


I am using this cleansing oil. ↓

This is Japanese one. I got it at Muji. There are many Muji shops in London.


I sometimes use Shu Uemura cleansing oil as well. This is also good.


Firstly I remove my make-up using cleansing oil, then wash my face again using olive or argan soap.


After this procedure my clean natural face comes back!


Cleansing oil is recommended when you use waterproof cosmetics!!!

Homeless people in London

We sometimes see homeless people in London.



Someone pointed out interesting thing.



'We do 'not' see any black or Asian homeless people. They are always white.'



I looked back through my memory. It might be true!

The Chedi Chiang Mai in Thailand

We visited Chiang Mai in Thailand. We stayed at The Chedi Chiang Mai. Our room was Chedi Club Suite.

 Huge day-bed on the balcony!

 

 

 

 

There are many interesting sight-seeing places around. We asked the hotel to arrange for the car for our day trip. They made a plan to visit many places efficiently. They also told the details to the driver before our trip. We enjoyed it without any hustle!

 

 

 

 

 

 

When we are staying at comfortable hotel, tempting to stay in the hotel all the time. This time we finally decided to have a day trip. We are pleased with our decision. You cannot miss these interesting places. These are not the 'worldwide' famous places but definitely worth visiting!!!

 

 

We always enjoy our holiday in Thailand. Shopping in Bangkok, beautiful beaches, many historical places & nice spa etc etc...

 

 

Might be the time to go back there...

 

 





 

 

French Toast & My Easy Diet

We had a nice & relaxing Sunday at home.


I made french toast this morning. I put honey & cinnamon on top. I like eating french toast for breakfast.

In England many people have cereals for 'breakfast'.


When I want to reduce my weight I have cereals for 'dinner'. I have a very big breakfast & lunch then just cereals for dinner. I definitely avoid sweet dessert after dinner in the evening. Instead I have such sweet dessert during my breakfast!


During the day just try to keep moving a lot. Avoid watching TV. (avoid being still) For example, try to do vacuuming/dusting all over your house, cut the grass in the garden, going to the gym or walking in the park/shopping mall etc etc.


In this way you can reduce your weight without any special efforts. Recommended!!!

Will Young, Bollywood & Black Eyed Peas

Today I got 2 CDs at HMV on Oxford Street. Nowadays there are very few CD shops on high street.

I like Will Young's 'Leave Right Now'. I got this CD for that! Listening to this song many times. My husband is asking me 'How can you listen to the same song over and over again?' I listen to the same song many times to enjoy the lyrics. And sometimes, it's for Karaoke practice!


Bollywood CD reminds me India. Good memories there!!! Although I do not understand what they are singing about...





By the way I also like Black Eyed Peas 'Where Is The Love'. Really good song. Now, the lyrics of this song should be appreciated all over the world!!!

Andy Murray & Ivan Lendl

I liked Ivan Lendl when he was a player. I really liked his strong mentality.


I got this book a long time ago.↓ He wrote this book when he was young.

When Andy Murray appointed Ivan Lendl as a coach I knew that Ivan could help Andy especially from his mental side. At the very top level, technique of tennis is not so different. The other factors might be more affecting.


Ivan is not the person who is always flattering someone. Never affected by the people surrounded. He stands firm in his own belief. That was what needed for Andy, I think.


I always respect Ivan although he might be misunderstood by the people. I still remember the story of his car accident when he was a player. He had a car accident because he tried to avoid running over a small animal! He is such person. I like him!!!


In UK people are putting a lot of pressure on Andy all the time. Such pressure made him stronger. Can you imagine his pressure especially when Queen was there to support him!!! He could not lose!!!


Andy won US open this year. It was the first Grand Slam title. Now people are talking 'GS One-time winner' or 'GS Multiple-winner'?? Poor Andy... He will never get released from the pressure!

L'OREAL Youth Code Luminize & Rodial Skin Bleach Serum

I have a pigmentation problem because I am always playing tennis & golf under the strong sun.


Pigmentation makes us look much older. Because of my pigmentation I look like a grandma!!! (*~*:)


Today at Boots I found L'OREAL Youth Code Luminize on special offer. Yes, I got one, of course!

A couple of weeks ago I got a small sample of this product. I felt it was good. Also suits my skin. I have to see how effective on my pigmentation after using it for a while. Let's wait & see!


Before, I was using Rodial Skin Bleach Serum. This is also very very good for pigmentation. This product is slightly more expensive though.

To achieve our ideal beauty we have to keep trying!

Taj Mahal & The Oberoi Amarvilas ♪

We visited Agra to see Taj Mahal!


The hotel we stayed was The Oberoi Amarvilas.

 

 

 

 

 

We could see Taj Mahal from our room!!! On our terrace we had 'elegant' tea with the view of Taj Mahal.


I like restaurants of Oberoi hotels. The chef always comes out from the kitchen to talk with guests. They also have a nice bar with Taj Mahal view.


On the next day, we went to Taj Mahal. It was very close to our hotel!

Taj Mahal is one of the better places than photos!!! (At the famous sightseeing places we sometimes feel that the photos look better than the real.) Taj Mahal is different. You have to go there and see it in order to feel something special. You will never get disappointed!


At Taj Mahal we were asked to take photos 'with them' many times. We were often asked to be in a picture with the big whole family! I was even asked to hold small boy's hand! We were just like movie stars!!! (Indian people like taking photos with foreigners??)


Just the same as Egyptian Pyramid, if you have not visited there yet you might have been missing something wonderful.


The Oberoi Amarvilas & Taj Mahal might be the best combination to visit!

Italian restaurant without menu ♪Al boccon Di'rino in Richmond♪

In London there are some restaurants without menu.


One is Al Boccon Di'rino in Richmond.

At this Italian restaurant they decide what you eat!!!


They only have one question. 'White wine?' or 'Red wine?'


They leave a bottle of wine on your table. After tasting you serve your wine by yourself just like being at home. (Different from Alain Ducasse or Gordon Ramsay. More like a dinner at friend's house.)

When you go to this restaurant you have to be really hungry. Tasty dish is coming one after another. All the dishes are nice.


This restaurant is very popular and many people keep going back. Recommended to book early.


We always enjoy both food & wine there. Definitely going back there soon!

The Oberoi Udaivilas ♪♪ Holiday in Udaipur India

We visited Udaipur India. We stayed at The Oberoi Udaivilas. It is situated on the shore of Lake Pichola.

 

This hotel is one of my favourite hotels in the world. When we arrived at the hotel, GM was waiting for us! Really impressed!!! We received warm welcome from all the staff people in this hotel.


Udaipur is a romantic city in India. It is also very historic. You can see old palaces there.

I really like Indian hospitality. I like Indian luxury hotels.


This is a tip from me for holiday in India. When you choose a hotel or restaurant in India your choice is always 'very expensive one' or 'incredibly cheap one'. Go for expensive one! You will see the heaven. If you chose cheap one, you might feel like hell! (Might be difficult to find something in the middle there.)


Anyway The Oberoi Udaivilas is definitely recommended for the people who like luxurious holiday!

I do not know who thought of this phrase but it is agreeable! He wins easily or loses easily. Does not have many very close matches. As a fan I 'always' want to see his great passion for the victory! (even when losing!)


At US open Richard faced Ferrer at the end. Unfortunately he had lost but the score-wise, it was not such 'extreme'! Pleased to see the change!


Richard, we are always on your side. Show us your best tennis with great passion for victory!!!

Petra in Jordan

We visited Petra.

 

 

 

It was an amazing place! I had a similar feeling when I visited Egypt & Mexico. I like visiting such ruin type of places.


At such great places we do not need any words.


You just have to see it to believe it!!!

Jesus Christ & Virgin Maria from Petra

I found interesting souvenirs in Petra.


There were many stalls by the local ladies in Petra. They were selling old coins, some incomplete excavated articles (I mean small broken pieces), small bottles, stones etc etc. I have to say that some of them just looked junk.


At one stall I found interesting items.

The stall lady who did not speak much English pointed at the field saying 'There! There!'.


Could not see any buildings left there. I opened a map to check the place she pointed, and found out they had a church at that time.


At that time people were holding such religious symbols when they prayed.


What I liked was the back side.

Some animals and trees can be seen!


My husband is saying that these must be copies of the old items. I believe that these are genuine because of the colour of the bottom part. A bit darker greyish. I imagine that people were holding this part when they prayed.


I really love them!!!

Tods Bag & Richard Gasquet

I have many Tods bags & shoes.


The best point of Tods is that we can use the same item for both casual & formal(business) occasions. Really versatile. Plus very good quality. For example, I was wearing the same Tods boots almost everyday in winter for 10 years!!!

This bag ↑ is quite big. I can put 'everything' in this bag. Also this is my 'good memory' bag. When I asked my favourite Richard Gasquet to take a photo together I was holding this bag!!!


I hear that boys & husbands hate such big bags because they end up carrying heavy bags for the girls!



These↓ are my favourite Tods sandals. In UK it is almost the end of the season.

I cannot believe that it is already in September now. Dark & cold English winter is coming soon... Scary!!!

Onsen♪♪ Hot Springs in Jordan

We love hot springs. It is not known that there are nice hot springs in Jordan.

The temperature is much higher than hot springs in Budapest. It is similar temperature to Japanese ones. I like hotter ones better. Our guide said that it would be too hot to take in summer! We went there in spring so it was the best season to visit.


They even have a natural steam room in the cave!


It includes a lot of natural minerals so really good for our skin! You will appreciate the benefits from the nature there!!!
